Canon Point; Post French and Indian War; 1763
Age; Technically negative thirteen, lmfao. He appears to be 16.
House; Baldr
Power; Flight
Personality; America suffers the shonen idiot hero complex. He's happy-go-lucky, imaginative, proud, and a pretty good guy--lovable, one could say! During his canon point, he's a young colony, still getting used to the world around him, and currently in the midst of celebrating a victory against the French--which was more or less thanks to England, but he'll never admit that.
America at this time period doesn't differ that much from the America most often seen in the comics. He can still be painfully dimwitted and absolutely clueless. However, a lot of his nativity isn't necessarily his own fault, or has different reasoning behind it. I'll explain the similarities first, because this is the more or less constant state of AMERICA.
Being but a colony, America has almost never left his home in the west, and is unacquainted with many of the nations of the old world. Consequently, he doesn't know many of the nations that England might be familiar with. It isn't that he has no idea where China is, but he's never met China before! Some of the nations he can recognize are Spain, France, and England, the three nations who did the most settling in his homeland, and a number of nations--such as the Netherlands--he can identify the face of. What lies on the other side of the pond is a mystery to him, and even England's home--the Britannic islands--is very otherworldly to him.
America prefers staying in his homeland because he's very proud of it. America grew up there, and he would die there if he must! He loves his status as a colony and he loves all the people that art a part of him. In later comics, we can see America often elaborating on how great he is, and colonial America is no different. EVERYONE should come to his home and become part of him!
He takes on the ideology of the 'melting pot' so to speak, blending together all the cultures into his home, and in a sense taking on attributes of his settlers, more than his settlers taking on his attributes. Take for example the original settling of the American colonies. Who were they? PURITANS. Consequently, America is (probably more so than his future counterpart) a decent Christian. He is tolerant and flexible, mind! He has to be, and wants to be! He's curious on top of that, interested in all the new things in the world. He wants to LEARN he wants to IMPROVE he wants to become the GREATEST colony that ever lived
Different than his future counterpart, colonial America is much more polite. He uses 'sir' and 'madam' and occasionally sounds a little more British than he might in years to come. This is obviously due to his current state as a colony. He's still being influenced greatly, and in a positive manner by England!
Which brings us to possibly the biggest difference between the America typically seen in the comics and colonial America. America ACTUALLY considers England to be his brother! America respects and admires England for his strength, and in his own way, wants more than anything to become as strong--if not STRONGER than--England. He doesn't brag about it, but he's always been very fond of his older brother and guardian.
And a few final tidbits--Amrica LOVES animals. If you've ever seen a picture of baby America, he is surrounded by rabbits, bird, chipmunks, you name it. America has no sense of taste, and if given rocks, could probably eat them. This is probably caused by England's absolutely horrendous cooking ability, but also possibly because he's never had the chance to eat delectable foods before the arrival of settlers. America has excellent sense of war, though he's considerably weak and inexperienced. His battle tactics are good, but he simply lacks the strength to become truly powerful.

Hey everyone! America here, I'm just making sure everyone knows that I'm here since well it was sort of sudden how this all happened. But hey! That's okay! I can just expand while I'm here! Hopefully England won't mind me getting some more territory on my own...
Anyway, I'll put up a sign up sheet so everyone can become part of me. Don't worry, you don't have to meet any special qualifications, so just give me your name and your in! Pretty easy, right?
If anyone needs me, I'm going to check out all the other neat stuff around here!

((Okay. We can do this.
America holds a cloth bag in his hand, staring forward, and looking extremely intense. A bead of sweat trickles down the side of his temple, watching whatever it is before him. There are some things that, even if it's not the scariest thing you've ever done, are still pretty intense.
He moves forward, ready for the moment, slipping his hand into the bag. Slowly; Carefully, he pulls out a bun! Between his fingers he rips it.))
Hey tiny guy! Want som? C'mere? Come on, it's just a little bread.
((America smiles. Before him, a goose approaches, waddling its way towards America, and snaps up part of the bread. He lights up! Success; now all he had to do was jump the bird and he could have goose for--
URK.)) OOOOOWWWWW MY FINGER WHY'D YOU DO THAT???
((Alas, goose would not be on the menu that day. Defeated by a fowl animal, he watches it steal his bag.))
